1. How do I open a live trading account?

An Admiral Markets live trading account can be easily opened in the Trader's Room in minutes by registering and accepting an e-agreement. After finishing the registration process, your personal Trader's Room profile will be created. With Trader's Room you can open real or demo trading accounts, choose the leverage you want, deposit currency, manage money operations and register to various trading contests. You can also use the Trader’s Room to register for membership in the Admiral Club™ and order your prizes.

The next step will be opening a live trading account in the “Account Management” section of your Trader’s Room. Please select the “Open private account” option from the right menu and fill in the online form. You will receive your unique login & password details for your live trading account. Simply download the MetaTrader4 trading terminal in the “Software” section of your Trader’s Room or from our website, install it on your PC, run the terminal and enter your login data in order to begin trading in the global financial markets.
 
You can deposit funds to your live account by bank transfer or credit card (VISA/MasterCard). Please navigate to the “Money Operations” section of your Trader’s Room for further details. You can also easily withdraw your funds through Trader’s Room.

2. How do I deposit funds to my trading account via credit card?
  1. In order to deposit funds, please fill in the online form in the Trader’s Room (“Money Operations” section). Minimum transaction size is $100.
  2. Please be advised to keep your anti-virus software up-to-date and check your computer for viruses before using online payment systems. In the event you have noticed any pop-up windows that ask you for credit card data, please quit the procedure and promtly contact AM Technical Support by email support@admiralmarkets.com.
  3. For security purposes, credit cards are only accepted if account holder's name matches cardholder's name. Admiral Markets reserves the right to suspend any fraudulent payment, to freeze the involved MT4 account and to terminate the Customer Agreement, in compliance with anti-money laundering laws.

3. What are the fees or surcharges on deposits and withdrawals?
  1. There are ZERO fees on direct transfers charged by Admiral Markets.
  2. Deposits made by standard credit cards such as VISA and Mastercard will be charged a fee of up to 1.5% of the total deposit made.
  3. Deposits made through premium credit cards such American Express maybe charged a surcharge of up to 2.5% of the deposit.
  4. Please note there maybe additional charged by your own bank on certain forms of deposits and payments.
  5. Withdrawals to domestic bank accounts will be charged a processing fee of AU$3. Withdrawals to international bank accounts will be charged a processing fee AU$20.

4. How do I transfer money from one trading account to another?
  1. In order to transfer money from one trading account to another please use the Internal Transfer Form available in your Trader's Room (“Money Operations” section).
  2. You can transfer funds even if the base currency is not the same on the two accounts, if these accounts are attached to the same Trader's Room profile and you are a holder of these accounts.
  3. If the base currency of the two accounts is the same, the commission for funds transfers is 0%.
  4. If the base currency of the two accounts is not the same, the commission for currency exchange will be 1% of the Forex market rate.
  5. Please note that in order to comply with risk management standards, accounts that have been funded by credit card will not be able to make internal transfers using the function in the Trader’s Room.

5. What is the minimum deposit amount?

If you hold two hedged positions simultaneously (for example, one Sell 1.0 Lot position and one Buy 1.0 Lot position in EUR/USD currency pair) the margin requirement will be divided amongst the two positions. In other words, margin will be acquired from both sides of the hedged orders (50% of the overall position). These conditions of hedging are available for the forex pairs, precious metals and energies but do not apply to CFD's on share and CFD's on indexes. 6. How do I deposit funds into my trading account via wire transfer?

We accept direct transfers in Australian Dollars (AUD) and US Dollars (USD). We do not charge any transaction fees for depositing funds to your live trading account. Please note that your bank may charge a fee for an international transfer. The funds withdrawal process is also easily carried out by a transfer to the customer’s bank account.

In order to deposit funds by direct transfer please fill in the online form in Trader’s Room (“Money Operations” section, "Deposit by bank" link). Use the Admiral Markets Client Trust details obtained through Traders’ Room to make your deposit. Please include your account number as the Reference.

If your transfer takes longer than 3-5 days, please contact us via e-mail or phone.

7. How can I withdraw my funds?

In order to withdraw funds by wire transfer please fill in the online form in Trader’s Room (“Money Operations” section, "Withdraw via bank" link). There will be a $3 processing fee for all domestic withdrawals and a $20 fee withdrawal to international banks.

Direct transfers can take from 1 to 5 working days. When withdrawing funds please make sure that your total withdrawal request does not exceed 65% of Free Margin available on the trading account. Failure to adhere to this procedure could result in an unexpected Stop Out or Margin Call.

If you you encounter any difficulties in submitting your withdrawal, please submit an email request to info@admiralmarkets.com.au including your:

  • Accounts details (your name, trading account number)
  • Bank details (BSB, Account name and number))
  • Withdrawal details (amount, currency)

8. I want to change the base currency of my account from AUD to USD. What should I do?

You can open a new trading account in your Trader’s Room and choose its base currency in the account opening form. Then you can simply use the Internal Transfer Form available in your Trader's Room (“Money Operations” section) in order to transfer funds from your old account to your new account with another currency.
